The Nature of the Future: Comparative analysis between concepts of instability from Keynes to Bresser-Pereira
Keywords:
Capitalism, Economy, Secular Stagnation, Instability, InvestmentAbstract
In the present work, the comparative method was investigated, in an approach to the theses “Investment in Keynes: link between the short and long term and criticism of currency neutrality”, by Renato Wasques and “After all, the secular stagnation of capitalism?” by Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira, identifying their similarities and differences between economic and social approaches. The beginning is given by a description of the objects of study and later an analysis of them, plus contributions from other works with concepts, in order to strengthen the research. To achieve the proposed objective, a comparative analysis was carried out, based on the theories present in each one of them, added to other contents collected in e-books, scientific articles and websites according to the proposed theme. The article suggests that there are similarities mainly regarding the instability of the economy, and the secular stagnation of capitalism. As a result, it was possible to distinguish the different aspects of each approach taking into account the reduction of investment opportunities due to: the instability of the level of production, employment volume, interest rates and a demographic slowdown.
