This work seeks to discuss fractal geometry concepts, as well as perspectives for its teaching and learning, through the application of a proposal to approach the theme, together with academics from a Mathematics Degree course. Such knowledge is essential so that future mathematics teachers can expand their knowledge and, consequently, develop the geometric thinking necessary to work in high school and safely approach this topic. A bibliographic study was carried out on the subject in the area of education, as well as an attempt to deepen concepts of fractal geometry and to know different methodological possibilities that provide meaning to the teaching and learning process of this content. A work proposal on this theme was also built, which was applied in a workshop in the Mathematics Degree course. The results indicate that the workshop was productive, as it provoked reflections and conceptual changes from the participants on fractal geometry.
