Abstract

Machining processes use synthetic oils, either cutting or soluble, for the heavy processing stage, generating a liquid residue, composed largely of heavy metals, which are highly polluting and can not be disposed of without adequate treatment. This paper presents an already successful and successful case study of a renowned company located in the PIM - Manaus industrial pole, pointing out an economically viable alternative, with support in the available technologies and meeting the requirements of the applicable laws, as well as describing the whole learning process in the course of activities.
