This development assumes the condition of sustainable when education develops a culture of commitment to the environment. The objective of the research is to identify the relationships between the learning built by the learners during the education process and the contributions to the implementation of sustainable development practices. This is a bibliographic research, based on research in books and articles. The first results of the research were: as a social right, education has the power to raise the level of commitment of individuals to the environment; environmental education is inserted in all areas of human knowledge, because without understanding the role of the environment in the life of living beings, there is no activity capable of enabling sustainability in the construction of the development of a society. It is considered as research conclusions, the need to encourage the appreciation of environmental education from early childhood education and the development of the culture of raising the level of commitment to the environment, because only then will the ethics of care be present in the construction of development sustainable.
