Abstract

In this work, we consider the effects of gas slippage and wellbore storage in shale gas reservoirs. We use the Finite Difference Method for the discretization of the nonlinear governing equation, and the iterative Gauss-Seidel method is applied to obtain the solution of the algebraic system. We also perform pressure tests in the producing well through the use of numerical simulation using cylindrical coordinates. The results, obtained in the well testing analysis context, show the relevance of the introduction of the slip, formation damage and wellbore storage on the flow simulation in shale gas reservoirs.
