Abstract

Brazilian agribusiness has played a key role in the country’s economic development in recent decades. Female participation in agribusiness showed positive results. Although there is the discourse of equal opportunities, the inequalities concerning the participation of women in relation to men in agribusiness are explicit, both in relation to remuneration, leadership, ascension and even in the opportunity to perform certain functions. Although there is still some discrimination, women are managing to overcome the various barriers imposed, seeking empowerment in the field and strengthening the importance of their role in agribusiness. This work aims to relate the quantity and quality of scientific articles that make the connection of agribusiness with female participation, through research platforms Web of Science and SciELO, bringing a positive result in the research, where it is possible to visualize the increase and importance of women’s participation and leadership in agribusiness.
