This research is based on a bibliographic review, based on the theoretical and interdisciplinary methodology of political administration, strategic planning and territorial development that investigated the consequences in the social, economic, environmental, political and cultural dimensions of the construction of the Sobradinho-BA dam for those affected. As a result, it is perceived that there are only ruins of the 04 submerged cities, these riverside families and their descendants had their roots and ties of territoriality forbade, generating a social problem in the future generations of the population involved, requiring new scientific research of the administrative sciences of the theme.
