Establishment of a Forensic Speech Science Center in India and its Efficacy

Abstract

This paper attempts to give 1) an overview of the area of Forensic Speech Sciences, 2) the advances made in this field at the global level and 3) the current issues with regard to its practice in India. In the light of this, it underscores the need for the establishment of a Forensic Speech Science Center in India, and briefly presents the efficacy of such a center.
